Travelling to Greece for non-EU citizens
Greece, as well as Netherlands, are parties of the Schengen Agreement. This means that non-EU citizens who are living in the Netherlands and do have a valid Dutch residence permit are entitled to travel to Greece. In this case, you do not need a visa.
For citizens of FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) an additional procedure is requested (in this case, please contact the Consular Office).
Please notice that:
- In order to travel to Greece, aside from the residence permit, you need to present also your passport from your country of origin or, if you do not have it, a valid Dutch reisdocument voor vreemdelingen (please click here for more information).
- You cannot stay more than 90 days.
- To avoid any problem at the inter-Schengen controls, it is recommended that the expiry date of your documents is not too close to the date of your trip.
- The Consular Office does not issue visas. Citizens of non-EU countries without residence permit in the Netherlands can apply for a Schengen Visa only at a Greek consulate in their country of origin.
